•And the hits keep on comin' - Obama Ad Starring Racist Preacher
Obama’s relationship with yet another controversial Chicago minister, the Reverend James Meeks, has received relatively light media coverage, but the two are part of a circle of friends which includes Jesse Jackson Jr., a member of Meeks church. Blogger fleaflicker wrote an in-depth story about Obama and Meeks for No Quarter in March.
In 2006, Meeks was recorded preaching, in the tradition of Wright and Pfleger:
“We don’t have slave masters, we got mayors…But they are still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able to be educated. You got some preachers that are house n——. You got some elected officials that are house n——. Rather than them try and break this up, they’re gonna fight you to protect that white man.”
Now, reportedly Meeks has stopped using the “N” word at Jackson’s prodding. And naturally Barack Obama’s campaign has issued whatever expedient words have been needed to distance Obama from Meeks. Certainly Obama has become a master at throwing everyone except blood relatives (for now) under the bus, so no big deal…

•Clinton supporters angry at Matthews, Olbermann, media
WASHINGTON — Bettyjean Kling is tough, she's mad and she's about ready
to kick some pasty MSNBC butt.
"Chris Matthews, I can't even look at him anymore," Kling spat as she
waited for Hillary Clinton to take the stage. "What's the name of that
other nut?"
"Keith Olbermann," offered a friend.
"Keith Obama-man," growled Kling, a retired special ed teacher from
Shippensburg, Pa.
Hillary Clinton's campaign valedictory was "the very definition of
bittersweet," said Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., a longtime Clinton
supporter, who insisted that the greater goal of a Democratic White
House would unite those who gathered on a steamy day in the cavernous
main hall of the National Building Museum.
It seemed to be more bitter than sweet for many, however, with special
acid reserved for the media. Several of the hundreds gathered here said
they thought that unfair news coverage helped Illinois Sen. Barack
Obama win the Democratic presidential nomination. Other common culprits
were the Democratic National Committee and the party superdelegates,
who helped swing the nomination to Obama in the last few weeks.

•Clinton Camp has a little list...
International Herald Tribune Tue, 10 Jun 2008
Hillary Rodham Clinton might have been gracious in her full-throated endorsement of Senator
Barack Obama, but that doesn't mean all is forgiven in the Clinton universe. Some staffers
have compiled lists of past allies and beneficiaries of Bill and Hillary Clinton who supported
the presidential campaign of Obama.

•Vote By Numbers
It appears that Hillary Clinton is going to suspend her presidential campaign this weekend, at the urging of Democratic Party leaders and superdelegates. Before that happens, Mrs. Clinton and the superdelegates might want to know this: if the general election were held today, Barack Obama would lose to John McCain, while Mr. McCain would lose to Mrs. Clinton.
This conclusion comes not from wishful thinking but from a new method of analysis on the statistics of polls that has been accepted for publication in the journal Mathematical and Computer Modeling. The authors, J. Richard Gott III, a professor at Princeton, and Wes Colley, a researcher at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, are not political scientists. They are astrophysicists. And one of the tasks of scientists is to clarify the apparent complexity of the universe by using the language of mathematics.
Here’s what they discovered: in swing states, the median result of all the polls conducted in the weeks prior to an election is an especially effective predictor of which candidate will win that election — even in states where the polls consistently fall within the margin of error.

•The Obama slime, divide, vilify, and degrade tour of contemptible
America, doesn't recognize any authority. There are no mountains high
enough for this megalomaniac to climb. He will become Dictator at any
cost, even if it means tearing down everything our society stands
for. After all, this society, does not have the same meaning to
Obama, as it does for most of us - and as I stated before, instead of
understanding us, and accepting us for what we are, Obama will
insist, and will impose on us, that we understand and emulate him.
That we become what he wants us to be. This process started the day
he announced his candidacy, and it has not stopped since. PEJ/
Shorenstein's latest ignoble debasement of "research" and the
institution of "watchdogs" is a foretaste of the enthusiasm Obama
inspires. The enthusiasm necessary for the relentless self-censorship
of self-evident facts and the denial of the most basic of human
liberties, the right to discriminate skills, experience, merit, and
value…not to mention the right to vote without being labeled or
incriminated a racist, bigot, or retrograde.

Bob Scheifer, host of Face the Nation this morning asked Clinton
advisor, Mrs. Grunwald:
Scheiffer: Barack Obama is the first successful African American
presidential candidate. African Americans are a core constituency of
the Democratic party. What do you say to them when white superdelegates
take this away from him after he has won the pledged delegates.
Grunwald: Hillary Clinton is the first successful female presidential
candidate. Women are a core constituency of the Democratic party. What
do you say to them when male superdelegates take this away from her
after she has won the popular vote?

•Statement from The Clinton Campaign on the DNC Rules and Bylaws
Committee Meeting
5/31/2008
Statement from The Clinton Campaign on the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee Meeting
Harold Ickes and Tina Flournoy made the following statement this
evening:
Today's results are a victory for the people of Florida who will have
a voice in selecting our Party's nominee and will see its delegates
seated at our party's convention. The decision by the Rules and
Bylaws Committee honors the votes that were cast by the people of
Florida and allocates the delegates accordingly.
We strongly object to the Committee's decision to undercut its own
rules in seating Michigan's delegates without reflecting the votes of
the people of Michigan.
The Committee awarded to Senator Obama not only the delegates won by
Uncommitted, but four of the delegates won by Senator Clinton. This
decision violates the bedrock principles of our democracy and our
Party.
We reserve the right to challenge this decision before the
Credentials Committee and appeal for a fair allocation of Michigan's
delegates that actually reflect the votes as they were cast.
|
 |
•Funny how this news story was posted before the meeting even began....
Officials say Fla., Mich. delegates will get half-votes
WASHINGTON - Democratic party officials said a committee agreed Saturday on a compromise to seat Michigan and Florida delegates with half-votes after Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton failed to get enough support to force their positions through.
Clinton's chief delegate hunter Harold Ickes angrily informed the committee that Clinton had instructed him to reserve her right to appeal the matter to the Democrats' credentials committee, which could potentially drag the matter to the party's convention in August.
"There's been a lot of talk about party unity — let's all come together, and put our arms around each other," said Ickes, who is also a member of the Rules Committee that approved the deal. "I submit to you ladies and gentlemen, hijacking four delegates ... is not a good way to start down the path of party unity."
The deal was reached after committee members met privately for more than three hours, trying to hammer out a deal, and announced in a raucous hearing that reflected deep divisions within the party. The sticking point was Michigan, where Obama's name was not on the ballot.

•Kool-Aid Soaked CNN & MSNBC ratings in the toilet
FoxNews has always been ahead of most News Networks in
ratings, but in the last few months their ratings have increased
dramatically, beating all networks COMBINED. This increase is surely
due to the massive exodus of Center-to-Right Democrats (and
Independents) who are simply tired of the Liberal bias towards Barack
Obama throughout ALL Mainstream Media.
The numbers below show a dramatic reality; the Liberal Media's
influence over the upcoming election is rapidly decreasing and will
thankfully only cause minimal damage in November's results. For those
voters who wish to completely defeat Mr. Obama, it would be very wise
to advocate and continue the support the FoxNews network, a factor
that may very well cause the other cable news mediums to redraw their
strategies and assume a more balanced stance on political punditry.
Either way, it is comforting to realize that the love fest regarding
Obama's candidacy with which many citizens are continously exposed to
on a daily basis with these other channels, is smaller than we all
thought.
For the 77th consecutive month, FNC finished first in total day and
prime time ratings during May. FNC was the sixth highest rated cable
network on all of basic cable during prime time for the month (CNN and
MSNBC finished 19th and 26th) and the seventh rated network in total
day (CNN and MSNBC were 19th and 27th). [Tweety and Olberjerk must be crying in their Kool Aid]
FNC also had 11 out of the top 13 programs in cable during the month
in Total Viewers. The O'Reilly Factor was the #1 program in cable news
for the 90th consecutive month, and saw gains in Total Viewers
year-to-year (26%).

•Barack Obama and Axelrod pay Keith Olbermann to spew hate on Clinton
Let's see now, the New Holier-Than-Thou Politics of Barack Obama is about taking your cues from Republican hacks like Drudge and the New York Post and then smearing your
opponent with every hate-inspired hysterical sick low-life drama-queen interpretation that Republicans send your way.
Hillary refers to LBJ and poof she is a vile racist. Hillary mentions ˜white people' and poof she is a super-dooper double vile racist. Hillary references RFK's assassination, and
OMG, the Evil Bitch wants Obama and all black people to die!!!
Or as John F. Harris at Politico admits: "The truth about what Clinton said" and any fair-minded appraisal of what she meant was entirely beside the point. Clinton's RFK
comments provide a vivid example of how modern journalism has become a hyperkinetic child.
So naturally Obama's Holier than Hillary Campaign sent out to the entire political press corps the entire hateful transcript of Keith Olbermann's latest "Hate Screed for the
Obamanation" otherwise known as: "The Evil Bitch IS The Anti-Christ and That's Why You Must HATE HER!"
Orwell called it the Two Minutes Hate. Keith Olbermann calls it a Special Comment. The right-wing may own the market on hate-talk radio, but the left-wing has hate-talk
teevee. It turns out that the premise of the New Politics of Obama is that the only way to beat Republicans is to be exactly like them. And no where is this sick premise better
demonstrated than in Keith Olbermann's Two Minutes Hate.
You remember Keith Olbermann? The hate talk jock who has been spotted reading Obama campaign memos aloud, verbatim, on air, and calling it MSNBC programming? The hate
talk jock who has suggested that the only way to get Hillary to quit the race is for a person with a penis to physically beat the bitch senseless?
And, yeah, the Obama campaign that boasts about its New Politics of Hope is the very same Obama campaign that sent out those dirty memos portraying Hillary and Bill as evil
racists.
I don't know about you, but I've had all the New Politics of Hate I can stand. Obama's New Politics of "Change You Can Believe In" would be better termed: Change You Can Choke On.

• The Shrieking of Obamatrons
Wow. Why is it that women get the rap for being a bunch of hysterical whiners,
when guys like Senator Obama and his staff are the ones going all wobbly?
I'm referring to the latest effort of the Obama crowd to manufacture an
incident out of Senator Clinton's comment that she is staying in the race
because we know from history that the reality in June is not the reality in
August. Senator Clinton noted in passing the historic fact that Bobby Kennedy
was shot and killed in California in June of 1968 and that changed what
happened at the convention. She also commented that her husband had not
wrapped up the nomination until June.
So the Obama crowd is wetting itself and wailing that Clinton is implying
Obama should be shot. Jesus, Joseph, and Mary! So if Hillary makes reference
to the bombing of Hiroshima in August of 1945 does that mean she wants to
nuke the convention? The weaklings and cowards that surround Obama never
cease to amaze me. They flail at the littlest imagined slight and throw a
conniption because Hillary has the audacity to mention a historic fact. Anyone
who suggests that Hillary is trying to suggest or encourage the notion that
Obama be shot is a sick sociopath. She has lived with the burden of Secret
Service detail and knows all to well the threat political candidates face. And,
most importantly, she is not the kind of person to wish harm for other people.
And for the Obama nation who want this contest to end now. Well too damn
bad. Obama is not the nominee, nor is Hillary, until the delegates meet in
Denver and actually cast votes. Given the lack of vetting about Obama's
past I think it is wise that the Democrats leave themselves some room before
making up their minds. This much is certain - neither Barack nor Hillary have
won enough votes in elections and caucuses to be nominated. The outcome now
depends on Super Delegates. And Super Delegates ought to make their decision
on who gives the Democrats the best chance to win against McCain. If you think
things are set in stone and nothing will change before the convention, then you
live in a fantasy world. Would somebody get the Obama crybabies a hankie?

•Gloating, unshackled sexism of the ugliest kind has been shamelessly peddled by the US media, which - sooner rather than later, I fear - will have to account for their sins.
Hating Hilary by Andrew Stephen
History, I suspect, will look back on the past six months as an example of America going
through one of its collectively deranged episodes - rather like Prohibition from 1920-33, or
McCarthyism some 30 years later. This time it is gloating, unshackled sexism of the ugliest kind.
It has been shamelessly peddled by the US media, which - sooner rather than later, I fear
- will have to account for their sins. The chief victim has been Senator Hillary Clinton, but the
ramifications could be hugely harmful for America and the world.

| •Clinton supporters say they'd cross party lines
The anti-Obama vote looks to have
some legs, at least at this point in the campaign – according to some polls
out today.
Rasmussen Reports’ Daily Tracking
Poll has John McCain leading Barack Obama 46% to 42% nationally, the first
time in weeks that either candidate has had a lead of four points or more.
McCain leads Hillary Clinton 47%-44%
in the poll; Rasmussen’s daily tracking results are reported on a four-day
rolling average based on interviews with 1,600 likely voters. The margin
of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Pollsters say McCain’s lead “can
be traced directly to the fact that just 66% of Democrats say they will
vote for Obama at this time” and 23% of Democrats say if the election were
held now, they’d vote for McCain. Another 11% say they’d go for some other
candidate or remain undecided.
Meanwhile, the Quinnipiac University
poll shows Clinton outperforming Obama head-to-head in contests in Florida,
Ohio and Pennsylvania – all potential swing states – with 26% to 36% of
Clinton supporters in each of the states saying if Obama is the nominee
they would vote for McCain.

•Talk about TAKING OVER!
Top Obama Organizer Paul Tewes
in Discussions to Run Democratic Party
WASHINGTON — Barack Obama is
quietly planning to take over the Democratic National Committee and assemble
a multistate team for the general election, the latest sign that he is
putting rival Hillary Rodham Clinton and the nomination fight behind him.
Top Obama organizer Paul Tewes is in discussions to run the party, several
Democratic officials said Tuesday.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said
no final decisions have been made on general election plans and that such
decisions would be premature with Obama yet to clinch the nomination.
Tewes is one of the leading architects
of Obama's success in the marathon Democratic primary race. He engineered
Obama's critical victory in the Iowa caucuses on Jan. 3, which gave Obama
the upper hand and Clinton was never able to fully overcome.
DNC executive director Tom McMahon
and DNC political director Dave Boundy traveled to Chicago last week to
meet with Tewes and other campaign officials to discuss merging efforts.
The party officials have held similar meetings with Clinton campaign officials
and last week got an agreement with both campaigns to start raising money
that will benefit the eventual nominee. [ Obama
